Zachary Nash is a 2018 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Shalimar, FL who attends Choctawhatchee Senior. Large frame with broad shoulders, long limbs and present strength. Ran a 7.23 sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with smooth, clean footwork while centering the baseball. Clean, polished glove actions while funneling and works through exchange well. Moves well to each side with athletic lower half actions while pivoting. Good arm strength generating stiff on line carry while throwing across the infield, topped at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a balanced, even stance and simple front side trigger. Direct, compact path to contact with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Shows present bat speed with strength at contact that generated very good jump off the barrel. Stays balanced throughout and consistently drove the baseball with authority between the outfield gaps. Also pitched utilizing a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side and works to the plate with compact stride. Works over front side well and carries momentum to the plate. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumped out of hand well producing heavy downhill plan to the plate, topped at 87 miles per hour. Featured fastball throughout time on the mound consistently over powering hitters. Showed good command for each edge of the plate when top and lower half work in sync to the plate. Named to the 2017 National Academic Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
