Slade Wayne is a 2026 C/MIF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Lake Worth, FL who attends Palm Beach Central. Long and lean athletic build, very projectable physically. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has nice athleticism behind the plate, comes out of his crouch well, makes low on line accurate throws with a quick transfer, has all the physical tools to develop defensively behind the plate. Also worked out in the infield and has soft hands and quick feet there, strong accurate arm. Just a good athlete who can play all over the field. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and slightly open stance, aggressive approach and is looking to pull the ball with intent, has some present bat speed with more to come, stays pretty compact through contact. Very good bet to keep improving in all areas. Good student.
