Ike Irish is a 2022 C/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Hudsonville, MI who attends Orchard Lake St. Marys Prep. Large, athletic frame with present physical strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Ran a 6.78 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set in drills, receives the ball out front, easy plus arm strength on throws down to second base with big carry, longer take back, shows athleticism and explosion in lower half, will continue to refine moving forward, catch and throw skills play nicely. Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set in the box; incorporates lower half well into swing, full path through the zone with big bat speed. Ball jumps off the barrel at point of contact with loud carry when squared, best contact to pull side. Big tools on both sides of ball. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Auburn. Selected for the 2021 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
