Kaul Perkins is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Amite, LA who attends Oak Forest Academy. Recorded a 6.90 second 60-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a medium frame and athletic build. Easy mover on the dirt with hands that work to both sides and arm strength on throws across. Multiple arm slots on the move with 88 mph throws across the diamond. Athleticism and arm strength transfer to the outfield working through the ball with clean gather and inline momentum on throws to the bases at 90 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a slow leg raise working inline down the slope. Quick arm action from a high 3/4 arm slot driving down the slope. Balanced delivery with fastball up to 87 mph (2135 RPM) and curveball around 73 mph (1952 RPM). Flashed a changeup at 72 mph with ability to kill spin (1427 RPM). Sequences well with his three-pitch mix and the ability to execute pitches. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open wide base and high hands setup. Short stride to square with some bat speed through the zone. Rotational bat path through the zone with strength out front. Earlier load to the backside in his timing will increase impact moving forward. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine Texas Showcase Top Prospect List.
