Angel Rodriguez is a 2019 3B/1B with a 5-11 255 lb. frame from Tyler, TX who attends Robert E Lee HS. Recorded an 8.46 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with strength well-proportioned throughout the build. Primary third baseman with a lower arm slot release and a compact arm stroke. Feet work well through the ball with some carry out of the hand and throws recorded up to 77 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter with very good barrel feel and impressive raw power. Advanced ability to lift the ball into the air and gets extended well through the point of contact. Good jump off the barrel and the ball carries off the barrel with significant backspin. Slightly open stance with a high hand set and high back elbow. Looseness to hands and swing with an extended swing path and contact comes best to pull.
