Matthew Hollender is a 2022 C/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Short Hills, NJ who attends Millburn. Large frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 40 yard dash in 5.28 seconds. Hits from wide spread and even-based stance, preloads with hands, toe tap trigger, postures well into swing, gets the barrel out front and does so intently, good strength to stroke, leverages the ball well when on time, drove the ball consistently on a lime when on time, very good hitting tools overall. Worked out behind the plate, higher set, shuffles out of crouch and stays balanced, longer arm stroke out of solid transfer, clocked up to 76 mph on throws down to 2nd base, downhill throws. Very good student, named to 2020 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.
