Elijah Rejto is a 2020 3B/OF, 1B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Canyon Crest Academy. Medium frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Primary infielder with loose, smooth paced footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball with loose exchanges while working through transition. Extended arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters slot producing softer carry across the infield. Left handed hitter with an even, balanced stance and toe tap trigger. Created coil at load and stays on back side throughout swing with rotational lower half actions. Flashed feel for the barrel with a line drive plane through extension. Primarily utilized a mid-field approach, but flashed the ability to turn the barrel and work to pull side as well. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Outstanding student.
