Aaron Cazares is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Eastvale, CA who attends Eleanor Roosevelt. Medium, broad shouldered build with present strength proportioned well throughout, incorporates strength well into actions on field. Ran an 8.52 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, uses a side step at start of delivery and moves into a leg lift up to belt with hip turn at top, gathers on back side before striding down the mound and landing open. Fuller arm stroke through the back and gets to an extended three-quarters release, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release. Less moving parts out of stretch, fastball topped out at 80 mph early and flashed sinking life from slot; pitched to contact and able to induce ground balls. Worked mostly off fastball, did flash a curveball in mid-60s. Short steps coming off the bag at first base, shows ability to drop slot on throws, remains compact in back and shows accuracy across. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright and even stance with a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate. Simple swing through the zone, stays inside the ball and short to it. Shows leverage to path out front and creates some jump from physical strength, projects with additional weight shift through lower half.
