2022 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Gavin Degnan is a 2023 OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Lakehurst, NJ who attends Donovan Catholic. Degnan has clear projectable strength in the build, flashing athleticism and natural ability from both sides of the field. On the defensive end, he worked exclusively from his primary OF position where he displayed quick transitions and a compact arm action to produce accurate throws on target up to 86 mph. The mechanics were smooth and repeatable, working through the ball with clean footwork. Offensively, Degnan started from a narrow slightly open stance with a high hand set a quick leg lift trigger to produce middle of the field impact with carry. The righty kept the mechanics quiet and controlled showcasing clear juice in the barrel with an exit velocity of 93 mph. Ran a 6.93 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Mid-Atlantic Indoor Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
