Kruise Newman is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Richmond, KY who attends Madison Southern. Long and lanky athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Well paced delivery with a short takeaway in back and a 3/4's arm slot, high leg lift start, short stride out front. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, gets good running life at times. Curveball showed good spin and depth when he was on top of it, tended to slow everything on his change up. Gaining consistency with his arm slot will be a key in his future development. 7.00 runner who showed his arm strength very well from the outfield from more an over the top slot. Left handed hitter, backside hitter with an uphill swing plane, hands are short and tight through to contact, hands driven swing, flashed some power potential. Good student, verbal commitment to Tennessee.
