Matthew Magre is a 2020 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Fayetteville, AR who attends Fayetteville HS. Strong athletic build with very good present strength for his age. 7.50 runner, showed fluid actions through the ball in the outfield, loose and strong arm that makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, open tall stance with a long stride to contact, keeps swing pretty short and direct, has good bat speed and the ball jumps off the barrel, line drive swing plane. Also pitched, fast paced delivery with a big leg raise and a long stride out front, mid 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, showed good cutting action and can get cut even arm side, will occasionally get uphill on his fastball due to his stride length. Flashed tight curveball spin. Has pitching tools to develop as well. Solid all around athlete who uses his strength well on the field. Excellent student.
