Jackson Larson is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 184 lb. frame from Grandview Heights, OH who attends Grandview Heights. Recorded a 7.15 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame and rangy build, body projects well moving forward. Primary right-handed pitcher with a short and closed stride, comes from a three-quarters slot and has a rigid plunge behind the back hip in the arm action. Hides the ball well, shows good life to the two-seam at times with sink and run. Flashed a slower curveball with a hump in its shape and a changeup with some fade, tends to slow his arm down to throw it. Limited lower half usage and developing strength, will see an increase in velocity as he gets into his legs more. Secondary infielder with a quick transfer and release and good carry across. Clean round overall, passive approach with developing foot speed, hands work best up the middle. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and a lift and replace trigger. Tight hand set with limited movement or load in the operation. Produced some solid barrels during his round, shows a middle of the field approach with a line drive swing plane. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 Ohio Valley Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
