Will Wuich is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Centerville, OH who attends Centerville. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Swings front side slightly when working to the plate and tends to land at a slightly closed position. Hides baseball well at take back and released from a compact three-quarters slot. Fastball generated occasional downhill tilt through the zone in the upper 60's to low 70's, topped at 74 mph. Curveball had 12/6 shape with solid spin and later bite in he low 60's. Displayed good feel for a changeup offering as well with the ability to consistently locate to the bottom quadrants of the zone. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions at pick up and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 74 mph. Left handed hitter with an even, balanced stance and toe tap trigger. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Looks to stay behind the baseball at contact while showing developing feel for the barrel. Primarily looked to utilized a mid field approach between the gaps. Excellent student as well.
