Xander Whitted is a 2021 RHP/3B/SS with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Horseshoe Bay, TX who attends Marble Falls. Tall very slender build with lots of room to get stronger. Slow paced takeaway in back with a loose extended arm action out front, lots of leg and arm movement to give deception to the hitter, repeats his release point well and has a feel for where he's throwing the ball. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, gets nice sinking life down in the zone and tries to work to spots. Threw both a slow curveball and change up and added/subtracted from all his pitches to further create deception. Was effective throwing strikes and keeping hitters off balance. 7.63 runner, showed some young athleticism in the infield on defense. Right handed hitter, upper body swing from a tall set up, showed the ability to pull his hands in for occasional hard pull line drive contact. Good student.
