Jose Fulgencio is a 2019 SS/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Apopka, FL who attends Homeschool. Recorded a 7.15 second 60-yard dash time. Large, physical frame with lots of well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary infielder with excellent body control, actions as well as outstanding footwork. Hands work very nicely throughout and he manipulates slot with intent. Arm strength plays nicely from the position. Also very impressive from the outfield where the arm played even better with throws recorded up to 92 mph with excellent carry out of the hand. Righthanded hitter who whips the barrel hard from a high hand set and high back elbow. Hanging leg lift trigger into the swing to create leverage from already impressive bat speed. Ball carries nicely off the barrel and power plays to the pull side. Short and quick to the ball, swing will get long at times but real hitting tools. Good student. Named to the 2018 Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Hillsborough CC.
