Reese Gilmore is a 2020 RHP/IF with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Liberty Hill, TX who attends Florence. Compact build with some present strength, pretty mature physically. Works from the stretch with an over the top arm slot and some upper body lean, some angle to the plate, has some deception and repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, throws strikes with his fastball and is aggressive on the mound. Tunnels a big slow curveball and cutting change up very well with his fastball release and mixes his pitches well. Hitters didn't get good swings off him. Right handed hitter, big lower half move into contact with a lifted barrel plane, can get to his front side more consistently to create the lift he's looking for, mid field to pull side contact. Very good student.
