Dane Thorpe is a 2022 C/RHP/3B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Santa Clara, UT who attends Dixie. Big and strong build. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has good athleticism and quickness behind the plate, replaces and moves his feet well and has a good glove to hand transfer, throws have solid on line carry. Also plays the outfield with enough athleticism for third base, can adjust his arm angle well while maintaining his accuracy and carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, drops into his swing and tends to get downhill to the ball, looks to pull the ball and has some hand strength and ability to impact the ball when he's on plane and on time, can improve his consistency and overall plane to contact. Good student, verbal commitment to Salt Lake CC.
