Patrick Baca is a 2020 C/3B/MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Vandegrift. Smaller frame with an athletic build showing room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.16 second sixty yard dash. Primary catcher, low profile behind the plate showing soft hands and quick feet, easy transfer with repeatable mechanics, above average arm strength with advanced accuracy, sound mechanics with good feel. Righthanded hitter with a balanced stance and a slightly open start. Whole field approach and engages hips well with his backload. Maintains balance through extension with some barrel accuracy present. Good feel for making contact out in front and projects for power at maturity. Good student.
