Maddux Frese is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Norway, IA who attends Prairie. Recorded a 7.10 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with an athletic build and room to fill. Primary shortstop, has good feet and gets into good fielding positions, gets to the ball easily and doesn't rush. Quick and snatchy hands with great feel for the position. Strong and accurate throws with a quick release. Professional round. Right-handed hitter, starts from a medium base and an open stance with high hands and a high back elbow, utilizes a small leg lift trigger. Quiet approach. In sync on the swing and timing. Good balance and extension, shoots the ball to all gaps with plenty of barrels. Quality round that was consistent with good contact to the middle of the field to pull side. Used the whole field well. Solid all-around player with sound fundamentals. Southeastern CC commit. Great student.
