Ayden Shadle is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Thurmont, MD who attends Catoctin HS. Tall and lean frame with loose limbs and plenty of room to continue to fill out physically. Ran a 7.90 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a side step up to a high leg lift, takes arm back to a loose arm action leading up to a 3/4 arm slot, stays in line with lower half down the mound, creates some good angle to the plate. Fastball topped out at 77 mph and worked primarily to the armside of the plate, mixed in a curveball with 12-to-6 break and solid feel for the offering, flashed a changeup as well with some dive to the plate and maintained fastball arm speed. Secondary first baseman, sits back on the baseball fielding it with a high gathering position, loose arm into throws with developing arm strength. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a spread out stance, consistent swing with overall mechanics to work with, bat speed with improve with additional strength and adjustments to lower half involvement, worked the ball to all parts of the field during round.
