Dylan Hastings is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Branson School Online Ged Prep. Large build with present strength. Ran a 7.61 second sixty yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher. Employs a small side step into a belt high leg lift with a slight hip coil at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate using a longer stride. Showed a long loose arm action into a three-quarter arm slot at delivery. Flashed a fastball with good control up to 76 miles per hour complemented with a 12/6 curveball with good depth and a shorter, sharper slider up to 67 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively at first base. Showed low out front fielding actions with confident glove actions. Flashed developing footwork working to and through the ball. Displayed good transfers into throws with accurate carry across the diamond and good arm strength topping out at 72 miles per hour from first base. Right handed hitter. Employs a slightly closed stance with a low hand set and leg lift trigger. Showed the ability to create barrel speed with a quick, direct hand path to the ball. Utilizes a high intent gap to gap approach looking to drive the ball to and through the gaps in the outfield. Showed good barrel control and strength at contact creating consistent loud contact throughout batting practice.
