Jimmy Vizzoni is a 2019 3B/RHP with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Hamilton Twp, NJ who attends Trenton Catholic Academy. Medium frame with an athletic build. Primary third baseman with athletic footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front with fluid glove actions and works through exchange quickly. Primarily released from a three-quarter arm slot, but flashed the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run from multiple arm slots, topped at 79 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and large leg lift trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose path to baseball with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Swung with intent and generated good bat speed through the zone. Looked to aggressively through barrel head to baseball and create hard contact to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Also pitched utilizing a clean side step delivery. Compact arm action at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Consistently attacked the zone with a fastball flashed run to arm side in the mid 70's, topped at 77 miles per hour. Curveball had 12/6 shape with tighter spin and good depth. Matches arm speed and slot with breaking ball offering. Consistently mixed pitches and induced weak contact while working to the bottom of the zone. Good student as well.
