Nile Foss is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Carlisle. Lean athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.20 second sixty-yard dash. Employs a small side step to medium leg lift while staying flexed at gather moving to drop and drive mechanics down the mound landing in line with the plate and falling off to the third base side slightly at finish. Throws from a mid three-quarter arm slot with good arm speed. Displayed a fastball with developing control up to 83 miles per hour to go along with a 1/7 slider with good bite and shape, a 12/6 curveball with good shape at 61 miles per hour and a change up giving a nice change of speed from the fastball at 72 miles per hour. In the outfield showed short deliberate steps while working to and through the ball creating good momentum into throws. Displayed longer exchanges into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 82 miles per hour from the outfield. Left handed hitter. Slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger and a high hand set. Employs a rotational pull side approach with good strength at contact. Showed the ability to drive the ball to the pull side when on time. Great student.
