Gallien Coupet is a 2021 MIF/OF with a 5-8 148 lb. frame from Homewood, IL who attends Homewood Flossmoor HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength with continued maturity. Ran a 6.70 sixty-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, stays lower while working to the baseball with fluid footwork. Reads the baseball well while ranging and works through exchange quickly. Baseball came out of hand well creating accurate, on line carry across the infield at 76 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and high back elbow set. Created some coil with top half at load and employed a loose, extended hand path to contact. Barrel came through the zone on a linear plane. Flashed some hand quickness when on time while utilizing a mid field approach. Consistently barreled the baseball showing good balance at point of contact. Good student as well.
