David Cohen is a 2022 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-5 200 lb. frame from Marlboro, NJ who attends Colts Neck. Medium frame with compact, strong build; ran 40 yard dash in 5.54 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance with leg lift trigger, hands stay inside through load and launch, inside-out linear swing path, middle-opposite fields approach with solid contact skills. Worked out at first base, fields deep and shows solid hands, clean footwork around the bag, gets hips turned to make throws, clocked up to 81 mph across the diamond. Also pitched, works from the stretch, slow pace to windup, three quarters slot release with compact stroke, fastball worked 72-74 mph with straight action, flashed curveball and changeup as well. Very good student.
