Joshmar Carbonell is a 2024 SS/2B with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Guanica, PR who attends Bishop Kenny. Medium frame with compact build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds. Hits from spread stance, sits into swing well and holds ground well through swing, generates loft to stroke, works middle/pull-side, consistent and repeatable timer, shows solid hitting tools. Worked out in the middle infield, shows good directional skills, hands work well through funnel, gets off quick release, clocked up to 76 mph on throws, still honing accuracy on throws across the diamond. Also saw time on the mound, worked up to 80 mph from high 3/4 slot, showed good ability to throw strikes, flashed a changeup as well. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
