2020 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Seth Barnes is a 2021 MIF/2B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Cheltenham, MD who attends Dematha Catholic. Recorded a 7.31 second 60-yd dash time. Medium frame with some room to add strength. Primary infielder with a developing defensive skill set, segmented and deliberate fielding actions, to go with a short, compact arm stroke. Recorded throws up to 80 mph across the diamond with longer release and some carry. Switch-hitter with developing skill from both sides of the plate. Incorporates a wide base, high hand set and high back elbow to create a downhill swing plane in both strokes. Utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing, with slight dive onto to his front side, fairly accurate barrel. Will improve with proper swing adjustments and added strength. Excellent Student.
