Jacob Jewell is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Merriam, KS who attends Shawnee Mission West. Strong and physical build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.25 seconds. Primary 3B and at the plate he worked with an even stance and uses a toe tap load. Showed good bat speed and has a bat path suited for spraying line drives. Takes healthy hacks and has plenty of intent in his swings. In the field he showed soft and smooth hands. Made good plays to both sides of his body. His throws across the diamond topped out at 79 MPH. He graded out best on the mound where his FB was 80-82 MPH and he showed advanced feel for locating down in the zone. Throws a deep CB that averaged 69 MPH. Great student.
