Ethan Garcia is a 2022 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from New Braunfels, TX who attends Canyon HS. Slender young athletic build. 7.57 runner, has good quickness behind the plate, quick exchanges both behind the plate and during infield, showed better infield actions with much batter arm strength and arm slot than behind the plate, has quick hands in the infield and projects there well. Athletic enough to improve behind the plate with time and work. Right handed hitter, upper half rotational swing, limited lower half use and tends to stay on his back side, good extension through contact, middle of the field line drive contact when timed up. Also pitched, young mechanics that he doesn't repeat yet but shows a loose arm with very good arm strength for his age. Fastball topped at 82 mph with good downhill angle and some arm side life. Slider much better present pitch than curveball, flashes some bite and depth when he's on top of it. Interesting young player with some tools to develop.
