Casey Burfield is a 2020 RHP/ with a 6-2 145 lb. frame from Sparks, NV who attends Edward C Reed. Large frame and slender build with long limbs and square shoulders. Ran a 7.54 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a big gather staying tall at the backside and leg lift above the belt from delivery. Quick arm action through the back into a three-quarters release. True fastball with occasional life when working down in the zone topping out at 84 miles per hour. Can work the fastball in against righthanded hitters. Slows arm action a bit on off speed pitches. Fading changeup to the arm side at 72 miles per hour. Will also go to an 11-to-5 curveball that will land for strikes. Can manipulate the shape to a more 12-to-6 shape at times. Mixes well and can throw breaking ball in any count. Very good student as well.
