Will Bonini is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends St. Francis HS. Large frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher who worked primarily from the stretch. Smooth paced, medium leg lift and stay flexed on back side at gather. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Utilized drop and drive lower half actions while landing in line with target. Fastball produced occasional downhill tilt through the zone in the mid 70's, topped at 77 miles per hour. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a curveball offering that produced 11/5 shape with solid spin and depth in the mid 60's. Consistently looked to challenge hitters and worked quickly while on the mound. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and quick front side trigger. Stays on back side throughout and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted plane through extension. Barrel enters and exits the zone quickly. Flashed developing feel for the barrel with occasional jump when on time and squared.
