Khamani Wright is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Port St Lucie, FL who attends Port St. Lucie. He showed plus speed with a 6.77 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher tall slender frame. On the mound he starts with a staggered position in the windup with a side step into a belt high leg lift, he showed a medium arm circle through the back up to a higher arm slot as he maintains a good line to the plate. The fastball stays true at 75-78 mph in the zone a good bit and he backs it up with a 12-6 breaking ball in the upper 60's as his most effective pitch to get outs. On the infield he receives the ball well out front transferring into a longer gather with developing arm strength on his throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base showing a more level path through he hitting zone with some weight shift into contact as he produced solid carry to the pull side. Good student. Named to the 2021 Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
