Jackson McKenzie is a 2023 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Pace, FL who attends Pace. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned well throughout. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, deliberate tempo to actions and footwork away from the back, shorter arm stroke on throws, accurate across the diamond and made the plays. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and utilizes a simple swivel moving into contact; movement to hands through load with a longer swing path through the zone. Looks to lift at the point of contact, occasionally gets uphill with path, implements physical strength and shows ability to impact the ball when squared, occasionally opens front side early. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Mississippi State.
