2019 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Logan Stockberger is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B, MIF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Lincoln. Slender build with room to fill out. Utilizes a small side step to a belt high leg lift staying tall at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and falling off to first base slightly at finish. Showed a full arm action with a big pull back throwing from a high three-quarter arm slot. Flashed a fastball with arm side run and good control to both sides of the plate topping out at 72 miles per hour complemented by a big 11/5 curveball with good depth at 64 miles per hour. Showed the ability to work around the ball with good footwork in the infield. Displayed good arm strength topping out at 76 miles per hour across the infield. Right handed hitter. Employs a narrow open stance with a high hand and back elbow set and a leg lift trigger. Employs a linear middle of the field line drive approach with developing bat speed. Will continue to develop with added strength. Great student.
