Elijah Bruns is a 2022 RHP/SS with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from New Palestine, IN who attends New Palestine. Compact build with room to fill out. Primary right handed pitcher. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online with the plate through finish. Showed a long loose arm action in the back going to a high three-quarter slot at release with good arm speed. Fills up the zone with a fastball up to 77 mph complemented with a 12/6 breaking ball with good depth and some feel for the zone at 67 mph and a fading change up creating occasional swing and miss at 71 mph. Right handed hitter. Employs a slightly open stance with a little stride working into contact. Displayed a level barrel plane through the zone and to contact. Flashed a contact oriented approach looking to drive line drives to the middle and opposite fields. Great student.
