Sean Kang is a 2023 C/1B/3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Chesterfield, MO who attends Parkway Central. Medium frame with athletic, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from spread, slightly open stance with leg lift trigger, very good rotator, generates torque in hips and creates excellent bat speed as a result, wants to dip shoulders and launch, has real juice pull-side, exit velocity off tee clocked up to 90 mph, showed power that way in BP also, interesting hitting tools. Wide-spread with good flex in set behind the plate, quick out of crouch with explosive lower half, receives well and shows ability to block to both sides, clocked up to 78 mph on throws. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
