Blake Borkhardt is a 2024 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Columbus, IN who attends Columbus East. Solid athletic build with plenty of present strength. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a well timed pull back load and a strong stride into contact, takes an aggressive swing with present bat speed and creates separation through contact, has lift in his swing path and showed the ability to drive the ball with carry gap to gap, pretty polished swing approach that he executed well in BP and in the games. 7.23 runner in the sixty. Has athletic actions at first base on defense, bends his knees and works below the ball well, good idea on his footwork, makes accurate throws, will be an asset defensively at first base. Good student. Named to the Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
