Lane Baxter is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends George Washington. Large frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.26 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance, active hands in load with lots of pre-pitch movements, good bat speed with leverage to path off of front side, can drive it when timed up. Worked out in the outfield, aggressive close to the ball with clean footwork, longer arm stroke, quick release, clocked up to 78 mph. Also pitched, athleticism stands out but doesn't repeat lower half actions yet, solid arm speed, good life to fastball sitting in 72-76 mph range, all fastballs. Excellent student.
