Hector Roca is a 2024 C/1B, 3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Homestead, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.86 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, rotational approach with bat speed and notable strength off the barrel, uphill stroke built to get the ball lofted, big power to pull-side, showed ability to work back through the middle with authority. Big arm strength behind the plate, side-saddle with solid hips, tends to stand out of crouch, quick transfer and release, clocked up to 82 mph on throws. Also took infield reps and threw 89 mph across. Pitched as well, fastball worked up to 86 mph with good life, showed feel to spin a slider and flashed a changeup as well. Good student, committed to Miami. Named to 2022 Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
