Kevin Alonso is a 2026 C/1B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Coral Park. Medium, athletic build with well-proportioned strength present and projection remaining. Primary catcher, sets up in a one-knee stance and gains ground out of the set. Demonstrated some feel for his footwork and direction behind the dish. Maintains an upright posture as he separates into a shorter arm path. Displayed developing lateral agility and explosiveness. Delivered accurate throws to the bag while recording arm strength up to 73 mph with a pop time of 1.99 sec. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider stance with tight hands and a high back elbow. Utilizes a toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a longer and slightly uphill path to the baseball. Turns the hips with intent, delivering a quick barrel to the point of contact. Flashed the ability to generate leverage to the opposite field during batting practice. Displayed developing barrel skills and adjustability. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 7.03 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
