Jonathan Vanegas is a 2022 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Heritage. Slender young square shouldered build. 6.88 runner in the sixty, has second base actions in the infield, moves well laterally, fields out front from a wide base, compact arm action, also plays the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow upright stance with a hanging leg load, tends to stay on his back side through his swing, has a loose and extended swing and works the middle of the field. Will keep improving his bat speed with additional strength. Good student. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a 3/4's arm action, threw consistent strikes with a fastball that topped out at 71 mph. Good student.
