2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 15)
Jake Meyers is a 2024 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Somers Point, NJ who attends St. Augustine Prep. Jake has an emerging tall lean frame and build. Moves around the infield ok, but shows a lot of stiff actions. Glove work is a bit late and stabby, no fluidity from fielding to release. Top half heavy actions as he bend from waist instead of getting down into his legs. Shows decent arm strength and can make the throws. Jake has some slow actions with the bat. A little toe tap and weight drift into position. Hands are weak on the bat and swing path is slow to the baseball. Best contact is made to the opposite field. Good speed with a 60 yard dash time of 6.84 seconds. Meyers is a very good student.
