Nate Russell is a 2026 RHP/3B with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends Cartersville. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, long limbs with lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.35 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, compact leg lift up to belt at start of delivery, fuller arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point, shows some quickness to arm and ball comes out of hand cleanly. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with short and consistent life to the arm side, worked around the zone well and showed comfort mixing three pitches for strikes in any count. Curveball shows 11-5 shape at its best and tunnels it at release up to 67 mph, occasionally gets on the side and gives it slurve action; can go to it in first pitch of at-bat and execute well, gets weak contact with the pitch. Flashed a right-on-right changeup late in outing with short fading life to arm side up to 70 mph. Fields the ball out front in the infield, double tap release, can quicken actions with footwork, works to an extended slot on throws across, deliberate tempo to actions, Right-handed hitter, begins with an upright stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate. Long swing path through the zone, upper body dominant, works on a linear path through the zone, best when getting hands extended, can implement additional lower half into swing.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
