Diego Helguera is a 2023 2B/SS, OF with a 5-7 175 lb. frame from Crestline, CA who attends Rim of The World. Primary second baseman with a medium, thicker build in his lower half. Showed good footwork around the infield, gets in position consistently. Quick hands and average transfer, made solid outs on a few slow rollers. Secondary shortstop with average arm strength deep in the hole. Throwing accuracy needs some work, but showed improvement over the course of the showcase. Right-handed batter with a short, compact swing. Stays upright and balanced with a medium high hand set, hands get through the zone well. Shows some feel the other way. Improvement to the pull consistently can improve his ability at the plate.
