2024 National Showcase
Darrell McDowell is a 2025 RHP/SS with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Lassiter. Lean and slender build with tons of room to fill in and gets stronger. Full hand over head delivery with a high leg raise over the rubber, works quickly and repeats his mechanics well. Fastball was consistently in the low 90's and topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight, plenty of velocity projection remaining in his arm. Breaking ball was a short gyro slider that he consistently landed to the glove side. Key to development is simply getting stronger and the rest will come. Good student, verbal commitment to Tennessee.

Right Handed Hitting
Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
