Matthew Jacobs is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Los Gatos, CA who attends Saratoga HS. Medium build with good present strength. Very high leg raise delivery, stays tall on his back side and maintains good direction to the plate, works from the stretch, high 3/4's arm action, has some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, big late running action, gets similar run and sink on his change up. Still developing feel for spinning the ball, higher release point on his slider with a short break. Threw strikes and looks like he will throw harder with his arm speed. Good student.
