2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Thomas Murcia is a 2022 OF/RHP, 3B, MIF, UT with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Mountain View. Recorded a 7.14 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with athletic look to it and some lean muscle throughout. Projects for additional strength long-term. Primary outfielder with an aggressive approach into the fielding process, clean gather and a quick transfer into release. Recorded arm strength up to 83 mph during the defensive portion of the workout, displaying online, accurate throws when he stays on-top of the baseball. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Simple, repeatable swing mechanics with linear swing path, compact bat speed and some feel for the barrel. Mostly middle-of-the field impact with fairly consistent bat-to-ball skills. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and some additional strength. Good Student.
