2025 PG Miami Prospect Showcase
Christopher Amador is a 2028 3B/1B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Medium physical build with very good present strength for his age. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a well timed shift into contact, well connected swing, creates tension free bat speed and extension through the ball, creates jump to the pull side, turns the barrel over effortlessly, nice looking swing with real bat speed. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has quick and well controlled footwork, fields the back hand cleanly, gets into his lower half well fielding, big arm strength on his throws, has all the defensive tools. Took a turn on the mound, works from a side step delivery with a high leg raise and a deep arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with some running life, will cut it with intent in the low 80's as well. Curveball had some tightness and 11/5 shape. Would be an interesting pitching prospect if his position/hitting tools weren't superior. Good student. Named to the PG Miami Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
