William Qualia is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock-Cooper. Long and lengthy build with room to fill out and strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Coils closed as he lifts, a bit cross body out in front, some deception to the delivery. Fastball up to 81 mph, mixes in a good looking 11-to-5 shaped curveball with tight spin and some late bite to the plate. Will only improve as his arm continues to strengthen. At first base, stays in front of the ball well and looks to knock it down. Accurate throws to all bags, makes the routine plays with consistency. At the plate, uses a wide and upright stance with a longer stride trigger. Understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher, looks to use the middle of the field, creates some leverage in his swing. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
