Cam McGugan is a 2022 C/3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Mystic, CT who attends Fitch. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a toe tap trigger, has a short and strong swing with good present bat speed, line drive swing plane with some strength driven carry, works gap to gap with an accurate barrel and good timing, swing approach is simple and repeatable and feeds into his physical strength well. 7.72 runner in the sixty. Has athletic actions behind the plate defensively, gets low and stays flexible in his set up and crouch, comes out of his crouch well, quick exchange and release with a bit of hitch in his arm action. Good student. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
